  When I try to create an RSS feed on my website of my wordpress blog, http://patrickfennig.wordpress.com/category/performances/feed
  it says that the feed source cannot be reached. try again later. Any advice?

  Hi there. That feed loads correctly for me. However, I see you only have one post in that category. If you tried to access that feed before you had a post in that category that might be the problem: RSS feeds for specific categories only become active once you have a post published in that category.
