RSS feed boken

  My wordpress.com blog has stopped publishing new posts to the RSS feed. Up to Dece 30 2007 the posts are published to the feed and appear in my reader. Posts after this do not appear in the feed. Anyone have an idea what might be going on here?!

  I’ve actually noticed this problem as well, just for tonight. I subscribe to my own feed just to test it, and noticed that new posts weren’t showing up in the feedreader, even though they appear in the feed — even hours later.

  When I unsubscribed from the feed in the reader and then resubscribed, all current posts were there. But then, new ones weren’t added subsequently. The same problem occurred in a couple different feedreaders.

  @daboyd & leptest: can you provide links to your blogs please? It’s hard to work out what’s going on unless we can have a look.

  That’s your problem. RSS feeds don’t work for private blogs. So you won’t get the updates when new posts are made. If you want your RSS feed to work but maintain privacy, your best better is to set your settings in Dashboard > Options > Privacy to set it to block search engines but allow normal visitors.
