RSS feed broken

Hi, our RSS feed is broken and empty. I’ve run it through feed validator and see errors there, but I’m not sure how to fix it since the errors appear to be at a level of page/post code that we don’t have access to? I also noticed that the last post announcing the launch of our new blog seems to be part of the problem since the feed appears to validate (although still empty) if that post is removed. Please help!

The RSS seems to work for the newest post I just posted, but for any post prior to the blog launch announcement one, it seems broken, even if I move that post back to ‘draft’.

FYI, we have an upgraded (premium) account.

    Hi!

I apologize for the delay. This should be fixed now. There was an invalid character in your latest post “IBM Center for Applied Insights Launches New Blog! (#IBMCAI)”. Let me know if you have any additional trouble!

Hi, I still don’t see any posts prior to that one showing up in the RSS feed – everything after that post seems fine. We have a lot of content prior to that post that should show up in the RSS feed.

    Hi!

Currently, I’m seeing your latest post “Why signal matters” in your feed as shown here:

Are you having trouble viewing your posts in a feed reader like the WordPress.com Reader or Feedly?

All the posts since the problem one are working fine. The issue is that all the historical posts PRIOR to the problem one are not showing up in the RSS feed. If you just click on the link below, you’ll see that there are no posts in the RSS feed prior to April 23, which is the date of the problem post. Even though we have plenty of posts prior to April 23 on the blog.

    Hi,

It looks like the link you provided stops at the first page of posts on your blog. However, all of your posts are included in your feed. To demonstrate, I followed your blog in the WordPress.com Reader and pulled up a post from 2 months ago as shown here:

If you’re noticing a particular post missing from your feed in a feed reader, please let me know!

Ok, I downloaded the Feedly reader onto my phone to check, and I do see some posts prior to the Apr 23 one show up, but it still seems to be flaky for older posts. For example, these are the ‘oldest’ posts I see in the Feedly reader, even though we have a lot more older posts than that. I’m also wondering why the main ‘http://ibmcai.com/feed/ stops on the first page of the site? Shouldn’t it pull in all the posts?

    Hi there,

Your feed does indeed include all posts. However, I believe the current feed is only showing the latest posts due to the setting here:

    https://ibmcai.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

Under “Syndication feeds show the most recent”, the current setting is 10. However, I’m able to pull up all of your old posts in the WordPress.com Reader. Is there a post you’re not seeing? Everything looks like it’s working correctly on my side.

Ok, thanks for the tip on reading options. I see the limit is 50?

    Yes, the limit is 50.
