RSS feed cut-off

I have had issues from day 1 with my RSS feed. I have let it go, but now would really like to see about correcting it. For some reason my feed has always been cut-off. I have no idea why, but for some reason it only shows a certain amount of characters and then links for viewers to read the full article. It does this when I click on the feed in Firefox and in IE and it also shows up this way when I view my feed from Outlook.
My wordpress settings do show for the feed to have full text. (something I have already checked)
I did read a recent post about someone having the same issue in Firefox (even though mine does this in all forms) and I did what it the person linked to, but it did not fix the problem.
I would really like for my feed to show my full posts as well as images placed in the post.
