RSS feed does not show up in sidebar
-
Since hours I try to get a RSS feed icon in my sidebar.
I went to wordpress.com FAQ and followed the instructions:
Go to Widgets, drag text widget in the sidebar, type in the code<img src=”http://faq.files.wordpress.com/2006/11/r28.png” />
also I tried my custom domain name instead of .wordpress:
<img src=”http://faq.files.
wordpress.com/2006/11/r28.png” />nothing worked. I tried it in a text widget and in a RSS widget.
What do I do wrong??? What do I have to do to get an RSS feed
for my blog in my sidebar??? -
<a href="http://birthowl.wordpress.com/feed"><img src="http://faq.files.wordpress.com/2006/11/r28.png" /></a>Try this code. I think what was happening was you were using your blog address in the wrong part of the code; you were inserting the image where your feed address should have gone, or vice versa. The above one should work. Hope that helps. :)

MMMh… the code (the same you gave me) did not show up how I typed it in
when I submitted it to the forum (the first part got cut off).
I am just a newbie.
Anyhow, I must have typed in something wrong all the time.
THANK YOU so much for your reply, I copied and pasted it
…and it worked instantly.
Great! :)) -
Glad it’s working for you now. And to post a code in the forums, you post it between backticks. That’s the key to the left of the 1 on your keyboard, above tab. Happy blogging. :)
