RSS feed doesn't seem to be working

  I changed my theme today and added an RSS widget to my sidebar. When I click on it, I get this: “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below” and pages of code. Help?

  That’s pretty much normal. An RSS feed is a stream of data meant to be interpreted by a feed reader, like Google Reader.

  To most browsers, it’s just raw data, hence the notice about no style information.

  But shouldn’t a reader be able to click on it and see my most recent posts in the feed and be able to subscribe to it? If a reader clicks on it and sees that mess, they’re going to leave.

  Some browsers, like Safari and Firefox will display the posts clearly with instructions on how to subscribe, but others browsers won’t. This is just how RSS feeds work, there’s really no way around it.
