RSS feed for comments by username?
-
I didn’t see this request with a quick search, and I hope that makes sense.
In other words, I thought it’d be neat to have an rss feed for the comments that I leave on any wp.com blog. If I put it into a widget, a visitor to my blog can see recent history of comments that I’ve left at other’s sites as well as mine (which would be an indicator of where I’ve been, what I’ve found interesting, what I’ve said, etc.) It would be similar to the feature on message boards that allows you to track all comments by a username.
Preferably, I’d like to have a widget like “Where I’ve commented” and see a list of either the post titles or just the name of the blog with a link directly to it.
Doable?

Have you considered that you could simply place a link to your free 3rd party cocomment “my converstaions” account in a text widget and achieve the same thing? http://www.cocomment.com/

No, I wasn’t aware of that. I’ll have to check it out.
If that allows me to track my comments on any blog, well, that’d be even better!
/I roam a lot, and always use the same handle and email addy when I comment

Yes, cocomment allows you to keep a complete record of every comment you leave on any blog. It’s also a social networking community too. You can:
(1) Track all your conversations everywhere – coComment lets you also have conversations on any websites. Make the all web a blog, share and discuss everywhere;
(2) Form and join Communities and groups;
(3) Share and browse. -
OK, I think I set it up correctly. My ancient computer didn’t like the program I had to install, so I did the bookmarklet thingy.
/I’m also using this comment to test the system.

There are sites where it has trouble working (blogs with popup comment windows, ones that require preview before posting, and those that require moderator approval), but otherwise it is pretty darn cool.
