RSS Feed: How do I put an RSS feed on my site that others can subscribe to
-
Hi,
Can anyone help me figure out how to add an RSS Feed onto my blog, allowing others to subscribe to my feed? I have checked out the widget provided, but from what I can tell it only allows you to host others RSS feeds.
Any help is appreciated!

How can I add my RSS feed to articles i send to my frends so they can come back to my blog?
-
There is no such thing as an RSS feed for individual articles, since once they’re posted they don’t change. Just send them the link.
-
Or are you sending them other blog links and you just want to include yours? Put a link to your blog, starting with http, in your email signature.
-
Yes I’m Newbie! In my articles I want to enable them back to my blog. Is this just a link then? Is it better to have a link present in the article instead of the email signature. Not sure what the email signature is. I think I want to post an article with my blog RSS feed back to my blog. Thanks for your help!!

A little clarification – I want my RSS feed in my blog and in my articles so they can go back to my blog from the article. Am I making this all to confused??
-
Maybe all I’m trying to do is add my RSS feed to my blog incase I quote it in an article so the reader can click on it and get back to the whole blog. On top of that I am using MAC

Your OWN blog? You do need to know where your own blog is in order for us to be able to help you.

OK I did write it down
http://www.gdwall.wordpress.com I think this is it_ Sorry I know you are wanting to help. . . -
Thank you. Now, your FEED address is http://www.gdwall.wordpress.com/feed
This video explains RSS:
http://www.commoncraft.com/rss_plain_englishNow, what you really want to do is share the link to your BLOG, not your feed, unless your friends are all super-techies. Even if they are, they can get the feed once they’re on the blog.
Now, how are you sending these articles to your friends? Via email? Just put the link to each individual post right in the email. You don’t need an RSS feed when you’re already sending them the post. RSS feeds are so the posts send THEMSELVES to people who’ve subscribed.
-
Ok I’ll check that out. If I did end friends the FEED address then, they in turn could click on it to get back to my blog right? I was hoping to send them the RSS button that they click and go to my blog. Some sort of clean way to not show the text version of the FEED address. . . I will check out the video – thank you for your patience. Where are you – it’s July 5th where you are.
-
Yikes – I”m . . .
Is my blog address the same as my domain? And then I just add /links/ ??? -
Don’t add anything. Your blog address is http://gdwall.wordpress.com/ and it doesn’t have “www” in it at all. Just use that. If you want to link to a particular post, click on the title and then the URL will show up in your browser bar. Like, if you go to my blog the URL is http://raincoaster.com and the URL of the first post is http://raincoaster.com/2009/06/30/dj-winston/
-
-
Yes! Haha- waiting to see if the cannons fire. . .!
So I would add that (ie) /2009/06/30/dj-winston/ to the link that i give out to my friends to refer back to a particular
post. . .? -
No. As I said, you would give them the specific link from the specific post. It changes depending on the post. Always take it from the post, don’t just change some other text to guess at the URL.
