RSS feed icon: I want it simple and no posts displayed under it
-
I put an RSS feed onto my main blog. I do not want to display any of my own posts under that little widget because it (the displayed posts) takes up space on my Sidebar. I just want the RSS icon there for people to click. The widget gives me an option of showing 1 to 20 of my posts, but no option for ZERO posts to show. I wish it did.
I see people with very simple RSS feed icons which take up minimum space and would like one of those, but my Vigilance template has only this one.
I also see an RSS LINK widget, but I do not want to use that right now.

Use the RSS Links Widget instead. It is much cleaner and simpler: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/rss-links-widget/ .

But….. I thought that the RSS Links Widget was to get someone else’s posts onto my blog and that the RSS Widget was provided to viewers to get an RSS feed of the posts on my blog. I was wrong?
lornakismet, sometimes wrong

No, that is the RSS widget. The RSS links widget shows the links to your RSS feed. Read the support document.

Dear Senda Sagrada (in Spanish)…
Thanks…… I went to the Support section, entered RSS, and found some paragraphs on it. I now have the medium-sized orange RSS icon for Posts. I like its small footprint.
