RSS feed no longer importing into Facebook

    Hi,

    I noticed that my blog is no longer importing into my Facebook fan page. It was doing so with no trouble until about six weeks ago, it seems. When I go to the /feed/ page of my blog, I get the message that “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it” and a page full of HTML.

    I use Chrome. I just tried the same thing in IE and it worked fine. Hmm, I think I might have solved my own problem…switch to IE!

    Do you have knowledge of this issue? And maybe a way to resolve it so that I can continue to use Chrome?

    Many thanks,

    Jonathan Wilson

    I’m having the same problem, but I do use IE. The connection between wordpress and facebook keeps going down. A reader also told me that the RSS subscription feed is not responding to her request properly but says that some of the XML is invalid.

    Are you using Publicize? If so you could try reconnecting > http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook
    Alternatively you can use Networked Blogs http://www.networkedblogs.com/ or RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer.

    @carmonthomas
    This is the result of clicking your username:

    selfpressn.wordpress.com is no longer available.
    The authors have deleted this blog.>/blockquote>
    What is the URL for the blog in question starting with http:// please?

    Here’s how to link your username to your active blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

    @jaywilsonmusic
    You have failed to post the URL for the blog in question starting with http:// or to link the blog to your username. Please see above and do that now.

    I’m having the same problem. I use the “publicize” feature, and it hasn’t worked in weeks. I have disconnected and reconnected, and that doesn’t seem to fix it, either. And almost every time I go to post a new blog, the “publicize” thing tells me I need to connect, but I’m already connected. I’ve pretty much given up on getting it to post to my Facebook, and now I just do it manually.
