RSS Feed Problem

Can anyone help me? I have a WordPress site with a Blog page. I am creating a newsletter on MailChimp that accesses my WordPress Blog RSS feed. This works beautifully.

My problem is that after every blog excerpt in my Newsletter there is this string:

“This content is viewable by members only. Visit My Account to login or register for a 30 day free trial or Shop to make a purchase.”

I wish to eliminate this blurb at the end of every excerpt in my Newsletter. Is this possible to eliminate because it is redundant and takes up space.

Is it possible to eliminate this repetitive blurb? Help please.

    Thank you.

  • Hi there,

The only site I see under your @eskimojoe123 WordPress.com account when I check on our end. is:
    – kerekescommunications.wordpress.com

It seems that you have not used this site in some time (last blog post is September 2020) so it seems you’re not using it with Mailchimp, yes? Is the issue with a different site that you do not see listed here, but is possibly under a different login instead?  What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?

Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

Thank you Jerry, yes that is not the site I am referring to. I am helping someone with another site, uvreporter.com, and we are generating a newsletter in MailChimp from the rss feed and here is what the text looks like in the MailChimp newsletter and as you can see there is a repetitive blurb after each excerpt beginning with “This content…” and we would like to eliminate this blurb if possible. Do you know if this can be done Jerry? Lemme know please thank you.

  • Oh, that site is hosted on Dotster, not on WordPress.com, so we won’t be able to help.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites hosted elsewhere; we can only assist with sites hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:

You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
