RSS feed problem

    Hey

My feeds don’t always show on all the blog catalogs where I have added my blog. The Feed has been successfully validated on Feed Validator BUT I have also received this message:

line 28, column 142: Unregistered link relationship: search [help]
    … ess.com/osd.xml” title=”Bjorkbloggen” />

When I click on “Help” I don’t understand the info given.
What am I supposed to do?

    Regards
    Bjorkbloggen

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I can add this info:

“This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.”

    Well, I don’t understand what I’m supposed to do….

Don’t worry about that recommendation. As long as your feed validates that is what counts.

As far as it being picked up by the blog catalogs and such, I think they go after feed updates on a scheduled basis, and if they are having issues on their end then they might not be updating feeds like they should.

As long as your feed here is available (I’ve never seen it down here in 4 years) then the issue is likely on the blog catalog’s end.

    Thanks,

However, I don’t think they are having problems on their end. I’m rather certain of that I’m having problems in my end. When I check other Blogs in certain catalogs I can see THEIR feeds properly listed every time they make a post. It’s only my feed that doesn’t show. Of course this will give me a disadvantage compared to other blogs.

Many of the best and most well known Blog catalogs don’t show my feeds at all (like Bloggportalen.se, Toppblogg.se), but they show the feeds from the OTHER Blogs.

I’ve also noticed, that when I click on the RSS-button on various sites I just get some strange html code back.

It sounds as if you are using the Chrome browser which does not have a built in RSS reader. You have to get a plugin from Google to be able to read feeds in Chrome.

Check with those other blog catalogs and ask them about the issue and see if they can give you any reason your stuff is not showing up. WordPress just makes the RSS feed available. The blog catalogs have to actually pull the feed and then display it.

THAT sounds like the problem! Yes I am using Google.
(These catalogs are so big that they don’t even offer email support, but they offer standard FAQ answers.)Since I’m having this problem on several catalogs that must be it.

I’m not certain of how I get a “plug-in” from Google but at least I can search around.
    Thank you so much!
