RSS feed shows the wrong image

The RSS feed of my blog doesn’t pick up the featured image but another image (apparently the image that alphabetically comes first). How can I fix this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
It looks like the featured image is indeed included in your RSS feed. For example, in your post titled “Calamarata al Ragù di Pesce (Pasta with Fish Ragù),” the featured image is shown here:
Can you let me know specifically what service you’re having trouble with (Is this not working correctly in Feedly for example?)? I’d like to see if I can reproduce the issue.

Hi,
Thanks for looking into this.
It is indeed Feedly that shows the wrong image. I don’t use it myself, but was alerted by a follower.
Is there something to be done?
Thx

Hey Stefan,
Thanks for confirming! I was able to reproduce the issue in Feedly. That’s odd because using the same feed, we’re pulling the correct image in the WordPress.com Reader:
It looks like we shrink the image down to 150×150 (the default size for an image set as “thumbnail”) in your feed. You can see this here:
I bumped this up to 300×300 for the default thumbnail size here:

Can you let me know when you publish your next article so I can check it out in Feedly? You shouldn’t have to do anything differently on your side (just set a featured image like normal).

Hi Jeremey,
I just published a new article, and unfortunately it still shows the wrong thumbnail in Feedly :-(
Could you please look into this some more?
Thanks,

Hi Stefan,
It looks like this might be a Feedly-specific issue. I did some testing on my side, knocking the thumbnail image size up to 500x500px and then embedding a 300×300 image into the post. Feedly still grabbed the 300×300 image (in theory, if it were choosing the “best” image, it would grab the 500x500px one). I found this on the Feedly support pages:
That seems to indicate Feedly ignores the featured image for a post and grabs the last image instead (which is corroborated by your three latest posts). Unfortunately, I don’t believe there’s anything we can do to fix this. I would suggest you reach out to Feedly support if possible to see if there’s a workaround. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more help!
