RSS feed widget not displaying proper date
-
I have placed four RSS widgets on apage (using my own blog’s RSS feed), and noticed that the blogs I posted today, are showing up as December 6, instead of the correct date December 5. Notice that the URL for these posts have the correct date (I see 05 not 06). So then why is the automated feed showing Dec. 6. I made sure that my time zone was set correctly. It is. So what could be the problem?
Here is the page where the four feeds appear:

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
I’ll be happy to take a closer look. My first guess would be the time zones, but you’ve already mentioned that.
Sometimes your browser and your computer can have differing time zones set which can mess things up. Can you double check on that?
I see several posts with the 12/06 date. Is it just one of these or all of them?

Thanks for your willingness to take a closer look. It is greatly appreciated :)
All the 12/06 dated posts should be 12/05 (consistent with the date in the post URL–which is accurate). But when displayed in the RSS feed it does not.
The clock on my computer is set for Easter Standard time.
Chrome seems to be okay (nor do I have any WP extensions)The only thing I did out of the ordinary yesterday when I made these posts was that I initially published all posts as PRIVATE until I was finished with them, and then unchecked the private box in the quick settings for each post when I was ready to make them PUBLIC. All of this occurred before 10 p.m. Easter Standard Time.

All my posts today are also a day ahead. They show 12/07/17 even though url and the widget Recent Posts show the correct date

I checked the CSS and there really isn’t anything there to cause a problem. (although you might want to talk to @sacredpath…if there is a problem he would find it)
#rss-26 .rss-date, #rss-27 .rss-date, #rss-28 .rss-date, #rss-29 .rss-date { display: block !important; margin-top: 7px; color: black; } -

This might help. It definitely looks like a time zone issue on the other end (.ie. whatever service handles external RSS feeds for WP widget) because when I changed the time stamp for a post to AM instead of PM the correct date shows up on the feed. That is what I did for the following post
https://ewtn.blog/2017/12/05/inside-a-conference-on-religious-freedom/
Previously, I posted it with a PM time, but changing it to AM helped fixed the problem.
This does not solve the issue, of course. But it is a workaround.

@411holy – I hope you don’t mind me jumping in to help. It sounds like a timezone problem to me too.
Are there any posts left that are still having this issue?
