RSS feed widget problem
-
Hi all..I have a problem. I used google feedburner for my RSS subscription feed, but I pasted it into the RSS widget, which makes me choose between 1-20 blog entries to show under the ‘subscribe to feed’ title. I don’t want anything under there, I just want ‘subscribe to feed’ with nothing under it. How do I remedy this? My blog is at http://lisamichele.wordpress.com/
Thanks in advance,
LisaOh, one more thing..is there a way I can change the orange feed chicklet without messing up the feed?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you, but I want to use the google feedburner, but I have no idea how to have it displayed without the title of my entries beneath it. Did you mean put the google feedburner code into a text widget instead of the RSS widget?

Also, this might just be me, but I don’t like people trying to force me to use a certain feed aggregator, such as Google or Yahoo, or Feedburner, or whoever. I’ll always pick around and try and find the actual “naked” feed coming out of the site, and if I can’t, then I simply don’t subscribe to the feed. I prefer to subscribe to feeds directly out of my browser rather than through one of the feed services.

It worked. so thanks so much. However, when I used the wordpress feed as written about a year ago, it didn’t seem to work for a lot of people, hence why I chose feedburner. Is there any particular reason you stay away from RSS feeds such as deedburner? Is there something I should know? :)

Sometimes feeds through feedburner, google or yahoo are slow to update (sometimes hours) while the feeds coming directly out of blogs or sites are seldom behind and will show your new posts immediately. Also, the feeds coming directly out of blogs are simply cleaner with less distracting stuff typically.

Ahhh…gotcha. Well, I’ll see how this works for a while and if I don’t like it, I’ll change back :) Thank you for all of your help!

I’m having trouble here too.
I’m at barnyardinthebackyard.com. I followed the directions a dozen times on how to subscribe to your blog. I’m typing the code in and cutting and pasting the link to the subscribe button. When I click “save,” half of the code disappears and, on the blog, there’s no button.

It sounds like you are using the javascript code. You need to use the plain HTML code that is under “show subscription link”. That is the code you paste into the text widget.
