RSS feed will not display
-
my blog: http://weaklythunk.wordpress.com/
I have copied text as suggested in RSS FAQ into a text sidebar widget, only changing the url to match that of my blog. I don’t understand why the RSS badge is failing to display: the title of the widget appears, and nothing more.
The text reads:
<a href="”http://weaklythunk.wordpress.com/feed”"><img src="”image-location”" /></a>Can anyone help, please?

I politely point out the double double quotes in there. You probably copied it out of Word or WordPad and it picked up the formatting. Here’s the correct code:
<a href="http://weaklythunk.wordpress.com/feed/"><img src="image-location" /></a>Hope this helps,

Many thanks for taking the time to answer this, drmike.
However, having added:
<a href="http://weaklythunk.wordpress.com/feed/"><img src="image-location" /></a>
…to the text widget, the widget still remains blank. There is no other coding or text in the widget.

That’s the URl of the image that you’re using? You do understand that you have to replace image-location with an actual URL, right?
edit: A quick check of your blog (Thanks for leaving the RSS widget up this time :) shows in fact that is the issue.

Aha. That’s why I’m just an ignorant numpty and you’re the expert. Thanks. The RSS is up now.
