RSS Feeds Address not Blog Name

I notice on other blogs that have subscribed to my feed (yankeefood.wordpress.com) that my blog name is coming up as the whole http//:yankeefood.wordpress.com address. Did I screw something up on my end? How can I get my feed to show as just Yankee Food?

    I’m only seeing Yankee Food

check out EatLocalChallenge.com and look at their blog list on the left column. Also, my own feed in Blogroll shows my whole address…

Of course your blog feed shows the complete url. Without it the others could not access your feed. Your feed is http://yankeefood.wordpress.com/feed/
If I add you to my blogroll I can choose whether or not to have an active link with just “yankeefood” or the complete url and so can others linking to you. Also note that we can chnage the names of our blogs whenever we wish and a s frequently as we wish. It’s the url to the feed that’s key here. And, to be honest I’m not clear what your problem is with this.

gotabigdog – first of all, you don’t need the RSS feed url in order to link on a blogroll. Just the url of the blog will do. (The RSS feed is used for other things.) Second, as TT said, the way the blog name displays in the blogroll is up to the blog author. (Perhaps when you submitted your blog to EatLocalChallenge you listed the url instead of the blog title?)

I guess I wouldn’t really care, except that it’s changed. I used to be listed everywhere as Yankee Food, but now on all the lists, I’m showing up as my full URL. So I guess I wonder what is changed.
