I don’t know how to use the RSS feeds on my blog and was wondering if they are necessary. They were there originally with the theme I chose.
ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Cathy,
RSS feeds are a way for readers to subscribe to your site in an RSS reader, such as Feedly or the WordPress.com reader. Some people like to read all their blogs in a “feed reader” rather than go to each individual blog to see if there’s a new post.
The RSS feed link is the exact link they’d enter into the feed reader to have your posts feed into it automatically.
You certainly don’t have to have that widget in your sidebar, though!
The widgets currently appearing in your sidebar are the default widgets that appear until you add any of your own. To get rid of them, drag any widget into the ‘Sidebar Widget Area’ here:
https://betweenthelinesbookblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.phpIf you don’t want any widgets in that sidebar, add a blank text widget.
Let me know if you have further questions!

Thanks so much for clarifying. It’s fine if they’re there for other people.
Regards
Cathy
