RSS Feeds creating false pingback

  Sites that I use the RSS Feed Widget for are receiving pingbacks to articles I didn’t specifically link to, it just happens to be the one in the RSS feed to their website. I’m worried the webmaster will think I’m spamming their pingbacks and not only cut me off but not allow me to comment on their site when they post an article or video I want to reply to.

  I’ve already tried turning off pingbacks to other sites (which means if I honestly did link to the article they won’t know about it) and that worked but this week it started up again. I don’t want to spam sites I’m promoting, especially by accident. Can someone help with this?

  Have you double-checked your settings? It’s rare but sometimes things DO reset themselves.
