RSS feeds – no style info
-
When using Firefox 1.5 (Mac) the RSS feeds on my blog return the message:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
However, the feeds look fine in Safari 2.0.1
I’ve tried RSS feeds on other sites and the Firefox problem doesn’t occur with them (or at least none that I’ve tried so far!).
Any ideas? I’m using the Regulus 2.0 theme.

Hmm, I just noticed that I get the error as well within Netscape 7.2. Never noticed that before. I get the error as well on one of our 2.0 installs on one of my boxes as well.
The feed works for Feedburner and the rest of them. Haven’t had any issues so far.
I really need to sit down and read over the RSS paperwork.
I found a thread in the Wp.org support forum about it that says don’t worry and that it’s fine.
If you want to read more about it, I’ll included the Google link that I did the search with. Hitting the first five shows me that it’s not an issue to worry about.
Hope this helps,

Ah,that’s why I’ve not noticed it before – I use NetNewsWire and that’s fine.
But I’ve had three people visit my Blog in the past day who’ve said they have a problem. They’re obviously trying to read the feed in Firefox rather than in a reader.
Cheers. -

Firefox has an extension for viewing rss feeds:
Feedview ~~
Feedview shows newsfeeds/blogs in a more stylish way. Without the extension Firefox just shows the default xml stylesheet. It also adds the ability to add a livemark and the ability to switch article lengths.https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=445&application=firefox
