rss feeds not working

  hello I’m trying to get my RSS feeds to work. i got one to work, but have failed in getting anymore to agree with me.
  the steps i’m using are as followed
  I click RSS feed on my widgets page, then save
  I go to the desired site and click on their RSS feed Icon in the URL bar and copy it
  I return to my desired widget, open it and paste the RSS Feed URL into the proper box
  Then I label the feed
  Then I click done
  then I save.
  to no avail
  here’s an example of an RSS feed I’m trying to get
  feed://syndication.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox?mode=rss_10
  buddyoh.wordpress.com

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I think it’s at the bottom but not a live link.

  Did you put feed://syndication.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox?mode=rss_10 (with feed:// at the beginning) or did you put http://syndication.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox?mode=rss_10 (with http:// at the beginning?

  Feed URL’s in the vast majority of situations have to start from http:// rather than feed:// . The http:// feed URL will resolve to the feed:// URL, but you have to start with http://.

  If you put feed:// in the RSS widget, change it to http:// and it should work just fine for you. It did for me on my test blog.
