RSS Feeds: Posts AND Comments
-
Is there a way to have the comments threads show up in the RSS feeds? Right now all that our readers are getting are the actual posts.

drmike, thanks for you quick reply. Perhaps I missed something in the other thread, but I didn’t see anything that explained how to make sure that both our posts and our comments are available to our readers via an RSS feed. Did I miss something? (If so, my apologies.)

there are 2 separate RSS feeds. One is for posts and the other is for comments. If your readers want both, they will have to subscribe to both.

Thanks judyb12. I’ve passed your note along to our readers. Here is what I received in reply:
I’ve searched your blog for feeds but only get the new posts feed. I used netvibes and just downloaded feedreader. can you ask them for the name of the file.
Any help?

Comment feed would be the URL of your blog here at wordpress.com plus ‘/comments/feed/’
For example, mine is:
http://drmikessteakdinner.com/comments/feed/
Hope this helps,

Also, if you include the Meta widget in your sidebar, there are links for the feeds there.

you can use http://feeddigest.com to mux the two feeds (and any other feeds you like).
you can then publicize the muxed feed in your sidebar, but there will still be links to the seperate feeds.

Thanks. These are quite helpful. I really appreciate your assistance (and, for some, your patience).
