RSS feeds seem to ignore new posts
-
I added a link to my blog in order to let my readers subscribe to RSS feeds, but every time a reader goes to the linked page (tsavalos.wordpress.com/feed/) the last posts are missing. A reader has to refresh the page in order to see the recent posts. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Thank you for providing a link to your blog. Please consider linking it into your user name as explained in the sticky at the top of the forum:
Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to ‘contact info’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.
Now… when you comment here and on other blogs, your name will link to your blog. If you do this before you post your request for help, it will allow forum volunteers to be able to help you quicker since they won’t have to ask you for a link and wait until you come back to post one.I checked your feed in my FF browser and got the latest posts to show up. I also checked your feed here http://feedvalidator.org/ and it’s fine. What RSS reader are you referring to? There have been reports of problems lately with Bloglines.

Thank you for your response. I updated my contact info and hopefully my blog address is now visible. As to my original question, I see that now all posts are shown. Maybe it takes some time for a post to show up (an hour?), but, even so, how come the posts showed up as soon as the page was refreshed. I tried this in three computers. The RSS reader I tried is MS IE7. Thanks again.

I’m no expert on RSS feeds but like everything else, it probably does take time for it to show up.

One other thing – it is possible that you were looking at a cached version of the feed. Typically, if a refresh of the page clears up the problem, that’s usually it. Since I didn’t have a cached version to view, it showed up for me.
