RSS Fireant
-
When I click on the RSS feed at the bottom of my blog, it says that I need to “activate” FireAnt. I downloaded fireant and then deleted it. Can you help me figure this out?
-
Also, when I try to get the feed from IE, it says that http://adamsj11.wordpress.com/feed is not a valid win32 application.

Clicking on the RSS link should bring up the raw feed. However the url your blog (or at least that theme) is incorrect and will not load in an RSS reader. It currently shows this url:
feed:http://adamsj11.wordpress.com/feed/When the feed url should be:
http://adamsj11.wordpress.com/feed/Normally this shouldn’t be a problem for us old timers, but newer people to WP and RSS would not be experianced enough to just remove the “feed” at the start of the url.

Thanks Marc. I am trying to link this blog to another site and when it tries to validate the feed, I am getting an error message. It says in line 75, column 28 “guid should not be blank”
<guid isPermaLink=”false”></guid>
Any thoughts about this one?

I also changed the theme and the proper screen comes up, but I am still befuddled by the error when validating.

How do I add RSS feed to my blog?
All ready have it. :)
It’s along the right side of your blog under teh heading of “RSS feeds”.

I’m a July 2006 user. Newbie, sorry, but have checked FAQs first. I’m confused at what I’m seeing when I click RSS on my sidebar. I just get the blog entry code. I show increasing people or services subscribing to my blog, but I don’t know how to view it. Thanks. “Me”

The RSS feeds are for those folks with a RSS reader. They’re not made to be viewed in your browser. When you click on the feed link on your site, you’re getting a listing of the last 10 posts on your blog which can be read in a RSS reader. (That’s why it looks weird.)
An RSS feeder allows folks to read the articles from a number of different sources at one time, not just one at a time like one would in a browser window.
You may want to try a service like Bloglines if your interested and you read as number of blogs.
