RSS from all blogs
-
Hi,
I’m working on some project that should work with large data. And I have 2 Q’s.
1) Is there a RSS for all blogs on wordpress.com? (I know I can have RSS on tags or RSS on search, but isn’t there some RSS that includes a waste amount of blogs?)
2) If I download blogs with RSS, is there a restriction how many blogs can I download?Thank you

Hi there!
Great questions!
1. Not exactly. The WordPress reader has the option for “Freshly Pressed” but this is far from all the blogs on WordPress.com. Many blogs on WordPress.com are private and only subscribers can access their content. Furthermore, users have the ability to remove their site’s content from being promoted on the WordPress Reader and other blogs are avoided by the Reader because they have been marked as mature.2. I believe that will depend upon what reader you are using. WordPress imposes no restrictions that I’m aware of. You can read more about RSS for wordpress.com:
Let me know if you have any other questions about this. :)
Kind regards,

Hello,
Thanks for your answer!
1. I’m aware of “Freshly Pressed” and that only feeds few articles. I also know about those settings, but that wouldn’t be any problem, there are still thousands of blogs. But as I thought, there isn’t any “recent posts” for the whole WordPress.2. I won’t be using any reader, but rather write my own program using wordpress’s API or RSS. I also read documentations, but wasn’t able to find anything about limits on downloading. I just hope, I won’t get ban:D
Thanks for you help:)
