weweir at relaxtorenew.com wordpress blog
RSS feed for others – have inserted suggested coding text into text widget and then closed the window and then saved the changes and it doesn’t work on my sidebar – when i go back and look at the coding a second set of quotation marks are now inserted – has happened the 4 times i have tried so far – pls help
thanks, wendy -
This is what you have:
<a href="”http://weweir.wordpress.com/feed”"><img src="”image-location”" /></a>Please note the styled double quotes. You need to remove them. Also you need to put in a working URL where it says “image-location”.
For example, please use this:
<a href="http://weweir.wordpress.com/feed"><img src="http://faq.files.wordpress.com/2006/11/c28.png" /></a> -
thanks – i have removed the double quotes and when i go back after checking my blog’s front page the double quotes are back – so strange.
also i don’t think i understand the what the “image location ” is and so not sure of the URL – i though this rss tab would be for others that want top subscribe to my blog and be updated whenever i have published a new post.
also i created a customised rss button and not sure where i would insert that code
thanks

I understand the image location issue now and have inserted seomthing appropriate however every time i save and then look at the text in the widget it has ‘birthed’ another set of quotations.
i ahve added the meta tag yet don’t really like all the info in this and would like to have the rss stand on its own in the side bar thanks
