RSS URL for Amazon's Author Central
-
Hello, I am trying to set up my author page at Amazon’s Author central, and I want to link my blog located at http://www.kideanaround.com (a wordpress site). However Author Central has provided the following instructions for doing so:
Author Central supports all versions of RSS and Atom blog feeds. Posts created before you add this feed will not be imported. If you want previous posts to appear on the Author Page, please re-post them on your home blog.
Example RSS feed URLs:
http://www.omnivoracious.com/atom.xml
http://www.aldenteblog.com/rss.xml
http://www.chordstrike.com/index.rdfI’ve only been blogging for about three years, and I have never heard of an RSS URL. Amazon Author won’t take my URL as http://www.kideanaround.com/blog, and due to my lack of experience, I am unable to locate my RSS URL on wordpress.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
This is your RSS feed link:
http://kideanaround.com/feed/Let us know if you have more questions.
-
Thanks; however, when I click on this link there is nothing there, just script. How is this supposed to link someone to my site?
-
It only says this above the script.
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

According to
https://authorcentral.amazon.com/gp/help?topicID=200341590Adding a Blog Feed
On the Author Central Profile tab, next to “Blogs,” click add blog.
Enter the feed address for your blog. Note: Make sure you enter the feed address, not the blog address.
If you use WordPress, add /feed/ to your blog’s URL. For example, if your blog is named writer, and is at http://writer.wordpress.com, your feed address would be http://writer.wordpress.com/feed/.
Click Add.In your case, this is your RSS feed:
http://kideanaround.com/feed/Don’t worry about what it looks like because it’s not meant to be read by a human. It’s meant to be machine-readable.

Hi Kayla,
It looks like you wrote in using Chrome. Chrome doesn’t have an XML parser installed by default. RSS feeds are written in XML, so that means that when you try and view that page it doesn’t load. You can try installing an XML viewer through a Chrome extension or you can just try pulling up that page on Firefox or some other browser.
In any case it should be correct for you! Let me know if there’s anything else you need.
