RSS versions and LiveJournal

  I’m trying to add a feed to my wordpress.com blog to my LJ friends page. However, it seems that my blog uses RSS 2.0, and Livejournal only recognizes RSS .9, .91, and 1.0. I get an error message saying that the feed url “does not appear to contain XML code.”

  So the question: is there a way to pick which version of RSS a feed uses?

  You could try some other feed types……for example, if your blog is linaria.wordpress.com, it would be:

  http://linaria.wordpress.com/feed/rss/
  http://linaria.wordpress.com/feed/atom/

  Try those and see how you make out! Somehow, I find it hard to believe that Livejournal doesn’t understand rss 2.0, but hey! Try the others and hope it works for you!
