RSS widget Feed suddenly broken
-
For more than a few months, I have been pulling the feed from a WordPress blog:
http://www.absolutemichigan.com/dig/feed/Just a few days ago, I started getting errors that feed could not be pulled. I WAS able to add another WordPress.com blog feed but when I try to add the Absolute Michigan one I get:
Error: could not find an RSS or ATOM feed at that URL.I can subscribe to the feed and read it via google reader and other feed readers. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong? (I’m broadcasting the full feed from Absolute Michigan)
Thanks!

I’m the blogger at the other end and no, I didn’t. Except maybe to upgrade wordpress.
That URL is also a WordPress blog and the feed validates at validator.w3.org – any suggestions?

If you click on the link to the feed you provided, you will see the link has changed. Instead of http at the beginning, it is now “feed”. So you need to correct your feed link to: feed://www.absolutemichigan.com/dig/feed/

Hey, thanks for trying. I changed it to “feed://www.absolutemichigan.com/dig/feed/” but that doesn’t work either. Same “Error: could not find an RSS or ATOM feed at that URL.”
I did notice that some sort of message pops up when I save it but that it shows behind the widgets and then only for a fraction of a second.

I just tried it on my test blog and can confirm it does not work. I would say there is a problem over at absolutemichigan.com.

I just put two different RSS feed URL’s into the RSS widget on my test blog, and they both worked just fine so it’s not a problem here, it’s on the other end.

Cool, thanks for the confirmation.
I can’t figure out why that feed works via Google Reader and other feed readers but not the WP.com widget.
