RSS Widget not displaying photos in feed.

  Hi! I’m using several RSS Widgets in my sidebar. One in particular won’t show any photos, even though I’ve checked the RSS feed and they are showing up just fine.

  My site is https://cygnoir.net and the RSS feed in question is https://honk.cygnoir.net/feed.xml (in the sidebar under “Microblogging”).

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  The RSS widget does not show images included in a feed, just a short excerpt of the text content, if you set the widget to do that. If the posts in the feed contain no text, only images, then the widget will show only the title.

  Thank you for your help. Is there a way to request that the RSS Widget display thumbnails from a feed that includes photos? I think this would be a great improvement to the RSS Widget.

  Hi there, the RSS widget is part of the WordPress core software. For widget enhancements or ideas, you can post here with your request.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are separate, so if you do not already have an account at WordPress.org, you will need to register before you can post your idea.

  You can also go to the WordPress.org Trac, and click on Tickets in the menu and then under Tickets by Topic select Widgets and then you can search for RSS Widget to see what, if any enhancements are slated.
