RSS Widget using correct feed but wrong link
-
Hi,
My RSS widgets are bringing up the right content, and when I click the RSS *icons* they’re going to the right place, but when I click the *titles* they’re going to the *wrong* place.
Take a look at http://brendancooper.com/. In the RSS widget at the top of the right-hand column – entitled ‘Brendan bungs’, if you mouse over the RSS icon you’ll see that it points to http://feeds.feedburner.com/brendancooper_shared. This is correct, as is the content generated by the widget below it.
HOWEVER, if you mouse over the ‘Brendan bungs’ text, it points to http://feeds.feedburner.com/FriendlyGhostCopywriter. This is another of my feeds entirely. I do not understand this.
I’ve tried removing the title, removing the RSS widget, moving widgets around, but this consistenly happens.
What’s wrong?

I really need someone to help me out here. Take a look at my blog. You’ll see what I mean. It MUST be a wordpress.com bug.

I know this is a bug with WordPress. There’s no other explanation that I can think of. And it’s a pity no one wants to respond. Oh well…

Have you reported it to staff? Do so Friday, before they break for the weekend.
I see your link to Subscribe Page is pointing to the other blog; is that what you want?

If you are strictly using a RSS widget within wordpress to syndicate your feed then, yes, you’re best bet is to contact WP staff. If you are using a text widget with code generated by Feedburner, then you should just look at each element of the code and make sure it all looks ok.
I took a look at your site and the problem does seem weird. Sorry I can’t offer any more help than this.
