RSS widget: Yahoo pipes error

    Hi, I have an issue which I’m not able to solve. I am using Yahoo pipes on my (dutch) safety blog in an RSS widget. Sometimes it works great and displays the RSS feedoutput of the pipe, and sometimes it gives an error: “feed cannot be displayed, feed might be temporarily unavailable please try again later.” While, when clicking on the rss icon, the feed is displayed perfectly. Therefor I think the error is in the RSS widget somehow. Are there other people using pipes and experiencing the same problem? Or are there users who have used pipes but left it because of this (unresolved) issue?

    I have tried some things myself. First I waited, perhaps it was just occasional, but it wasn’t. The issue returned since I am using the service for about a week, almost each day. I have searched the web and these forums, I came across some people experiencing it as well, but most topics were older than one year and did not provide a working solution. I also tried to change the feed url, but it didn’t change anything. Finally I checked the code:

    I think this is part of the problem, because watch the following:
    ‘‘ where, “href=”” should be displaying the pipe link!

    I compared it to a different always working RSS widget on my blog:

    I think for some reason, the widget forgets to put in the yahoo pipe link in the widget.. but I don’t know why…

    Here are my questions:
    Does somebody know how to solve this issue? Or is it part of the limitations (due to security) of wordpress.com blogs?

    Or perhaps is it a known issue of using yahoo pipes on WordPress.com blogs and is there anybody using yahoo pipes successfully on a wordpress.com blog?
