RSVP form

    I have modified a form template to be an RSVP form, but now I’m being asked to have the form generate an auto email to the attendee (the person who filled out the RSVP). Is there a way to do that?

    Hm, that’s tricky. You are using the form in a creative way (which is awesome) but you may have reached it’s natural limitations.

    Here are some options:

    The contact form will send you an e-mail when an RSVP comes in, so you could set up an auto-response to come directly from your e-mail (assuming your e-mail client allows you to do that and you know how to set it up).

    The other option to consider is using a site like Eventbrite (http://www.eventbrite.com/) to manage the actual event/RSVP stuff and then integrating your Eventbrite page into your custom menu or even using one of the Eventbrite themes to create your event’s website: http://en.support.wordpress.com/eventbrite-single-event-theme/.

    The second option might be overkill for your specific question, but if you decide to go that way let me know and I’ll be happy to provide more specific direction.
