Run my blog on a subdomain

  Hey,

  I have problems configuring wordpress as I want to. Here is my situation: I like to run my blog under blog.katja-thater.de. I do own katja-thater.de but run my main site elsewhere. The instructions I found tell me to register the subdomain with wordpress and purchase it for $13/yr.

  When I try starting this process (upgrades->map existing domains) I get an error message “We’re sorry, but blog.katja-thater.de is not a valid domain”.

  I already added a CNAME “blog” pointing to katjathater.wordpress.com to my DNS configuration.

  What is it I am missing here?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
