Running multiple store
-
Hello,
I am currently running a shop via wordpress and woocommerce and I want to open a second completely unrelated shop. I saw some things about multisite, but it seems like those stores need to be related and one is the main site while the other is a subdomain; this won’t work for my new store. Is there a way to run two separate stores from one WordPress installation and login?

Hello, I see your site is hosted at GoDaddy and using WordPress.org software. This forum is for sites hosted in WordPress, to learn the difference see this page: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

Hi there,
I don’t know of any way to run two separate stores from a single WordPress installation – one WP installation = one site = one store.
On Multisite you’ll be creating a network of sites on the same installation, i.e. one WP installation = multiple sites = multiple stores. I’m not sure if using a subdomain is required or if each site can have a unique domain, though you should be able to access all the sites in the network from a single superadmin account – the folks in the WordPress.org forums will be better able to advise you on that.
You can find the multisite subforum at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite/
Then of course the third option is to just have multiple sites. Some hosting plans let you host more than one site on the same hosting account, but then each site is a completely separate entity, with its own, separate admin user account. Please contact support at GoDaddy directly to find out if your hosting plan supports this.
