Russel template issues and Domain not connected

  • Unknown's avatar

    I have 2 questions:

    1. With the Russel theme, the home page seems to have a header that sits at the top, duplicating the information below it. Looks awful and I can’t seem to get rid of it, any ideas how to resolve this?
    2. I transfered my domain to WordPress last week and got a confirmation it is linked, but my web url still seems to be the random .wordpress one. How can I make sure my website is displayed under my own domain?

    Thank you!

  • Hey there!

Yeah, I see what you are saying – you have two navigation menus activated, it seems. The above menu bar is part of a template in your site editor. I’ll be happy to assist you with getting rid of the additional menu.

    1. Go to your site editor.
    2. Click on the header. that should prompt the message: edit your template to edit this block at the bottom of the page. Click the link to edit the template.
    3. While in Template view, click the header block on the right side
    4. You’ll see the three dots below the header block. Click that to see the drop down and from the drop down, you’ll click delete to remove that header.

Below is a video of the instructions.

The domain appears to be set as primary now. Great! Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
