  how to edit the text on the home page

  Hi there – Your front page is designed to show your latest posts, which are different from pages:
  Post vs. Page

  Because you have no posts, it’s showing a page not found message. If you don’t want to add posts, you can set up what’s called a “static” front page by going to Settings->Reading here:
  https://gojetvacations.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

  Then pick the page your want to be your front page from the drop-down menu at the top. There’s more information about this here:
