Safari browser not saving login info
-
For a while now, maybe several weeks, if I use Safari (in my MacOS Monterey 12.01), it simply does not remember my login into WordPress. So I cannot reply to comments unless I go through a convoluted way to login again each time.
All fine using Chrome – is this something that can be fixed? I usually prefer to use Safari
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If it’s not remembering your login, it sounds like Safari is blocking your login cookies or not storing them in your browser session after you log in.
Go to Safari -> Preferences and check your settings there – especially under “Privacy” and review if “block all cookies” and “prevent cross-site tracking” is disabled for WordPress.com.

I hope that helps!

thank you – I removed the “Prevent cross-site tracking” and that seems to fix the problem, however I cannot do that only for wordpress, I could not find a way to do just that
do you think that is going to make my browsing too unsafe?
-
Deactivating cross-site tracking prevention won’t make your browsing unsafe, but you may be tracked by advertisers more than you would be with it.
We’re working on a fix to work around this issue with Safari, but we do not have an ETA at this time.
