Safety of free wordpress blog
-
Hi
I did some research yesterday and it was easy to find that Google’s blog, Blogger, is a lot of problems…..you can have a blogger, all good without violating ToS, and have it deleted without an email/notif/permission. I have seen many of that, if you want you can just google it, it is quite simple.
So having said that, I want to make sure WordPress surely is not like that before I start my own blog here? If I have violated ToS, please delete my blog, but I will never do that. Those people at blogger who get deleted, I feel sorry for them. Even a news site guardian.co.uk has this blogger issue known around the world.
So, I should be ok with WP right?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Depends.
You’re off to a bad start asking about ad links. And when/if you break the rules here, there’s no warning; your blog just gets suspended, BAM, like that.
If you’re asking about how easy it is to hack WordPress.com, then rest easy. It’s very difficult if not impossible, provided you never use Post By Email and your password here is secure.

There is not need for this thread. I have posted relevant links here > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/the-use-of-adfly?replies=7 Ignorance is not an excuse for having one’s blog sudpended. Every blogger is responsible for reading the Terms of Service and for honoring them.

@jonnoko, once you are familiar with the rules, things generally go pretty smoothly for people, and if something slips through, wordpress will typically suspend your site and then work with you on getting whatever the issue is corrected and your site back up and running. Only in very rare instances where people do absolutely everything against the terms of service do sites actually get deleted with no chance of recovery.
Honest mistakes or misunderstandings on TOS issues can happen and wordpress knows that.
Also if there is something that you aren’t sure about, you can always ask here in the forums and if it is something we volunteers know for sure, we’ll tell you and if we don’t, or it is something that staff should really address, then we will flag the thread for their attention.

Thanks guys
I apologize if I sound money-hungry again.
Dont worry about adfly. I dont want to use it. I dont want to monetize my blog. My blog is for my passion/my life/hobbies etc.
Having said that, if my blog is just that, it should be safe, no? No adfly links etc. It should be safe yes?
And raincoaster, what do you mean by Post By Email?

And raincoaster, what do you mean by Post By Email?
One option is to set up and enable a secret email address – when you send an email to that address the email is turned into a Post – two of my friends use it for their vacation blog – they just send an email and no need to log-on to make a Post

Ugh, I dont even understand that haha, so I wont be using that :)
So…..one last time to make sure. I have no intention of using adfly. I will just make a blog using wordpress, about my life in general, music, friends family loved ones, hobbies, sports. All good, yes? :)
