Saga- navigation, feature photo, etc.

I previewed Saga on my present blog, when I switched to iPad size, the feature photo (for some posts) disappeared and they were big enough to “appear” on desktop version.
What is the recommended size for Feature photo with Saga? Otherwise photo auto-enlargens with a grainy resolution.
When one opens up a blog post in full and then tries to go back to main list, I noticed that I lose my “Home” menu to go back to main page. Important if one is looking at not the latest blog post in full, but an older blog post buried deep in the blog.
It is a sleek one. Could I make the header change as a post slider?

You can find the Quick Specs at the bottom of the Saga Theme Showcase page, which has recommended image sizes.
On the Saga Demo page, the Home link is in the Menu dropdown at the top. That link is included as a Custom Link in the custom Primary Menu. The site title at upper left is always a link to the home page as well, as it is on most websites.
Saga does not have the Post Slider feature, and there isn’t a way to add that functionality.
