Saga Theme – Quote Block
-
Hello,
I want to display a quote in my post in the same way I see it displayed on my theme’s Info page, but I can’t see a way to do this using the quote block. Is this done by CSS or is there a way OOTB that I can get a quote to look the same.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there:
Can you link us to where you see that on the theme demo page? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
Thanks!

Hi folks,
There’s an example of a post assigned to the Quote format in the blog page of the Saga demo, the July 7, 2011 post “Quote of the day.” To create a post featuring the special styling seen there requires only that the Quote post format option be chosen. With the Saga theme applied, the special styling of the Quote format only appears on the blog and archives pages, not on the single post.

Hi @kristamariewrites395119618
The post format option is an older feature of WordPress.com that has since been retired. Newer themes do not offer it as an option but older themes like Saga can still use it.
You can find this setting on the right (in our new editor) in the post settings for each blog post, as shown in this screenshot

As @musicdoc1 correctly points out, that format is visible only in the blog post feed (the page that shows all blog posts) but if you click on the quote itself to view it on the next page, it does not use that formatting.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
