Sale of tobacco and alcohol

Hi im just wondering if it is possible to sell alcohol and tobacco products on wordpress.org using woocommerce store and a 3rd party payment provider, thanks.

Yes, it is possible. However, you need to make sure that selling alcohol & tobacco is allowed by the 3rd party payment provider.

Thanks for the reply and yes the 3rd party allows the sale of these products. Would it be better to take this approach on wordpress.org or wordpress.com, im planning on setting all this up on siteground hosting with provides wordpress.org, any recommendations, thanks.

You would not be able to sell alcohol or tobacco products on a WordPress.com hosted site per our store guidelines:
You may not sell […] Controlled and highly-regulated substances (including alcohol, tobacco products and e-liquids, marijuana, cannabidiol or CBD, and other cannabis-derived products)

Therefore you would need to host your site at Siteground and not WordPress.com.

That makes more sense, would I still be able to use woocommerce store to list the tobacco and alcohol products on there or would a different approach be needed please?
