I have started a blog on WordPress, and I wrote my first blog post – How to Start a Blog 😀 , But this post is indexed 3 times on google.
I want -> https://www.squarenoid.com/how-to-start-a-blog/ only to be indexed.
I don’t want the other two be indexed. i.e
-> http://www.squarenoid.com/how-to-start-a-blog/
-> http://www.squarenoid.com/how-to-start-a-blogHere is a image for reference. -> https://tinypng.com/site/output/oea5mld3dp7cmdi6.png/pic.PNG
Any help would be appericiated.
Thanks in advance,Mohan Das

Hi Mohan,
Sorry if I’m wrong but this is a self hosted WordPress installation right ? I’m asking because WordPress.com has great SEO right out of the box — you don’t have to do anything extra. And what happens with your website it usually can’t happen on WordPress.com.
However, in order to solve this, you must work a bit with your links. Basically you have to make sure your visitors will not be able to access the same article using different links – here is a screenshot : http://zcreenshot.com/gaznw.png – as you can see your article can be accessed in 3 different ways – with https, without https and with or without “/”.
However, you can manage the way your website is indexed by google using the google webmaster tools : https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en – and as well chose the way you want your website to be accessed and using .htaccess redirect all links to that format.
Hope it helps :) have a great day!
