Same problem, part 2: followers aren't showing up in count
-
Hi everyone. Earlier this fall, all my followers weren’t being included in the count either on the page listing them all or in the widget on my home page (see this thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/followers-issue?replies=109) WordPress was able to fix the problem then.
However, since then, I’ve added several new WP followers but they aren’t showing up, just like before. My WP count says 29 but should be 31…when I hand-count them, that’s what it says.
In addition, one of my friends followed me via email. She is getting emails from my blog but she is not showing up in the email followers count.
Help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have 29 WordPress.com followers and 16 E-mail followers. There are listed at http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=50386411&blog_subscribers&unit=1
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Hi kardotim….
Yes, 29 WP followers is what the number says at the top of the list. However, if you hand-count the WP followers on that same page you come up with 31, not 29.
Therein lies one problem.
As for the other, do you know why my friend would be getting emails from me every time I post (after she signed up to be an email follower), but she doesn’t show up on my followers list?

It seems the number was cached, it’s fixed now! What’s the username or e-mail address of this friend where you are referring to?

[e-mail removed]
Thanks for the fix on the other. kardotim, is that “caching” you mentioned something I can fix myself in the future, or does that have to be done by WP?

I saw Sarah listed on the pendings list, I removed her from it. Can you ask is she could visit http://subscribe.wordpress.com to see if she sees your blog listed there? if not, she can re-follow your blog again.
The caching issue was something on our side but don’t hesitate to contact us if you notice any other oddities.
Thank you!
