Same Theme, Diff Result

Using Garland theme. Got it like I want it on easternbsa.org. Trying to reproduce the layout on bsatroop368.com. Can’t get the menu in the header to disappear. Have experimented, and compared settings from one to the other, must be missing something. Any help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, I upgraded easternbsa for custom fonts, but that was after most other design was done, including removing that top menu. I don’t think the upgrade impacted the menu display.

I created an empty menu for http://easternbsa.org, and I think that’s what made it work. But it’s been a few months since I did that, and with CRS , I just can’t remember the details. I’ve looked at the dashboard on easternbsa.org, and I can’t find where I actually used the empty menu.

Go to your dashboard -> Appearance -> Menus.
Click on [+] sign (in right part) to create a new menu. Let me name it “Blank”, click on save menu. And, now look up at left part -> There’s a drop down which allows you select a navigation menu. Drop-down and select Blank. And then click on Save.
All is done. See, I’ve eliminated the menu from my test blog http://gauravon.wordpress.com -
Yippee! Youdaman – so to speak ;-)
I must have previously unchecked the Theme Locations Screen Option, so I wasn’t seeing that dropdown.
Muchas gracias and have a wonderful day!

I had created a screen-shot of the admin page: http://gauravon.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/menu.png
