I noticed that the twenty twelve theme in wordpress.com is not identical to the one in wordpress.org. For example, in wordpress.com, below “Leave a Reply” is just a narrow rectangle with “Enter your comment here”; whereas, in wordpress.org there are four rectangles for name, email, website, and comment.

I’m curious as to why the wordpress.com and wordpress.org versions are not identical.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy! This is due to differences between the WordPress.com service and the self-hosted WordPress.org software. You can read more about those differences here.

Some services on WordPress.com are not available by default for self-hosted users and our themes account for that. In addition, the Jetpack plugin provides self-hosted WordPress users with some of WordPress.com’s most popular features.
