Sandbox new version pay

If i pay for the current sandbox version, will i be able to use the .09 (when available)?

we don’t pay for sandbox, we (wp.com bloggers) pay for css upgrade. so if .09 version is out it may take some time before it will be available here, if at all.

ok. but let’s suppose some day the 0.9 is available (hope soon), will we need to pay for the css upgrade?

Do note that those themes are for the regular version of wordpress. They have to be converted and tested before they get installed here as we’re running a different version of wordpress.
All teh CSS upgrade does is allow you to modify the CSS file that comes with the theme. You’re still not able to modify any of the wordpress files, themes or core.

Let me rephrase my question:
If i pay for the css upgrade for the current sandbox version, will i be able to use css upgrade the 0.9 (when available)?
Or will i have to pay for the css upgrade for the new version althoug I paid for the previous one?I know I’m a pain in the neck, but I need to design a strategy for one of my blogs.

no you can’t, because as drmike says it takes time to convert and test the latest sandbox version. but if it does become available at wp.com you don’t have to pay extra for css upgrade. do note though the upgrade is valid for a year.
edit: judyb12’s reply below would mean that .09 would be available very soon due to the competition, so sounds like the answer you’re looking for… =)

Anyhow, Andy will be rolling out an update to the Sandbox to all wp.com users very soon. Don’t worry, both the 0.6.1 and 0.9.x versions of the Sandbox will exist simultaneously and separately so that not a single persons style sheet is broken until they’ve had the chance to update.

Let’s try this again.
You can not use your own or anyone elses themes here at wp.com. The only ones available are the ones that staff has installed. They have to upgrade the theme themselves and make them available to the end users.
All teh css upgrade allows you do to edit and add to the css file that comes with a themes. We as end users have no access any of the wordpress files, be they core files or theme files.
The upgrade is a per blog upgrade, not a per theme upgrade.

And judyb12, I’ll be watching the race (i’m not a racedriver). I’m waiting for Aug. 5 to see the new themes and try some of them.
And yes, I think we need to promote Sandbox.
