Sandbox theme column question
-
Hi there,
I’m doing a custom CSS design on a WP blog for the first time. For maximum flexibility I chose the “Sandbox” theme. My client would like four columns. This is one of the tags on Sandbox but I can’t figure out how to change the number of columns. There is no “Theme Options” menu item under “Appearance” in the back-end sidebar.
Anyone know how to change the column number?
Thanks and sorry if this is a really dumb question…

Hi Sonja,
It’s not a dumb question at all! The Sandbox is really a bare-bones design intended for CSS artists. Using a stylesheet it’s possible to create multiple columns, but your question has made us aware that it’s a bit confusing to have the theme tagged with “two columns” and “three columns” and so on because these are not capabilities the theme has without purchasing the custom design upgrade. Lots of other themes do have the capability to be presented with different numbers of columns without any custom CSS, but that’s not how Sandbox is intended to work.
We’ve removed those tags to eliminate confusion. Hope that clears it up and keep on asking questions! It helps us find ways to make our descriptions and instructions clearer.

Thanks for the help guys!
I have the custom design upgrade so I’ll dive into the CSS using the examples.
Thanks again.
