Sandbox theme showing posts categories from wordpress.com

    Hey all,

Like title says Sandbox theme showing posts categories from wordpress.com instead of from my own blog categories. If you visit my blog and under each entry where it says this post is listed in… it shows links to wordpress.com tags rather than my own categories. And also is it possible to have that entry stuff under the post heading instead of bottom of each entry?

    Thanks

That’s normal procedure on ALL themes here at WordPress.com. The links on each post go to the global tag pages, while the ones in the sidebar go to your own tag pages. There is, as far as I know, no way to work around this; believe me, people have tried. Also, WP.com isn’t willing to change it; it is this way deliberately.

As for where it goes on the page, that’s theme-dependent. You could switch themes or I suppose buy the CSS upgrade and tinker with it that way.

I do have the css upgrade. Just wondering if it was possible change it through there also maybe a point in the right direction as to what classes or ID I should be focusing on to make that change. As I am quite new to CSS, but so far have learnt alot, last thing on the list is the entry-meta location.

    Cheers

The links on each post go to the global tag pages, while the ones in the sidebar go to your own tag pages.

You cannot change the functionality that raincoaster describes above regarding categories and tagging with css customization. You can only change the appearance of your blog’s theme.

This can be confirmed by using the forum search box.

The basic css customization resources and learning aids are found in the css customization forum in the sticky posts at the head of that forum.
