Sandbox went askew with bottom widgets
-
I have been using One-Column Minimalist Sandbox with sidebars floating left and right below main content for a year now, and I prefer it and really like it. Sometime yesterday, the 2nd right sidebar moved underneath the 1st left sidebar. So, at the bottom of the page there is one long, long sidebar with the title for pages shifted and off balance. Something happened to this page, and I didn’t do it even though it is a customized theme… I customized it a year ago and left it. So it isn’t something I had done and it is a WordPress glitch. The bottom of the page is ugly with the widgets messed up. Will this be fixed or will I have to choose another theme?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also, I want to add that the ‘Incoming Links’ in the Dashboard has changed. There are links from places I’ve never seen before that are totally unrelated—guns? electronics? Gone are the familiar incoming links that I am used to seeing from photo and art blogs. I wonder why….

This is still a problem. I had contacted Support and yet to hear word or see the problem fixed, and the why I have posted here.

Have you looked through the posts using the Sidebar tag in the forum? It’s in the tag cloud in the forum sidebar. It probably has nothing whatever to do with your theme.
Incoming links are from Google Blogsearch, and so questions about that should be directed to Google.

All I know is that for a year this theme looked fine as is with two bottom sidebars… one left and one right. Over two days ago, the right sidebar shifted to the left and under the left sidebar. The title for the Pages shifted over to the left and is smished in beside ‘older posts’. I hadn’t done a thing to the CSS. This just happened. I can’t fix it as the CSS looks fine and as it always has been. This is a WordPress glitch, and I cannot seem to get their attention to fix it. I don’t have any control over this theme being messed up on my site. I really do not want to switch to another theme as I happen to like this Sandbox theme as it suits my photography blog.
As far as the incoming links…. it is just strange as that had changed too at the same time the theme messed up. Those links incoming appear to be for another blog and not my blog. The Dashboard links do not match the Stats page links listed. Something is afoot…
What I am stating here is that there is a problem with my particular blog… a glitch in the code somewhere. I had not done this and this is a WordPress problem.

(Corrected as I couldn’t edit the recent, previous post.)

Hi raincoaster. Yes, I’ve been reading through the posts for ‘Sidebar.’ I tried the suggestions for this post: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/sidebar-dislocation?replies=7
I have gone through a week’s worth of posts checking for anything amiss. So far, the problem still exists.

Dang… to add to my reply above. What I meant is that I have gone through a week’s worth of posts on my blog checking for anything amiss.
The sidebar askew problem still exists.

Okay, thanks. Have you always posted images 800 pixels wide with no problems? Have you changed any widgets at all? I know WP.com made changes to themes about a month ago, but I don’t know of anything in the last couple of days.

Hi raincoaster and thanks. Yes, we have always posted images at 800 pixels wide with no problems. I started with WordPress Classic then switched to Sandbox with sidebars on bottom about a year ago. I haven’t had a problem ever with Sandbox. I haven’t changed any widgets in a long time as what is there is standard for what we need and has been like that for as long as we have used Sandbox. We do pay for space upgrade and Custom CSS–and with the CSS I mainly had changed the font, color of page, and made the header larger–which has been standard from the start with no problem.
I have checked and rechecked what I can with the blog after reading in the Sidebar posts. I cleared the cache. I still think it is a glitch on the WordPress end.
